MedibandPlus may send information to you regarding products or services that may be of interest to you based on your personal medical record. e.g. MedibandPlus may send subscribers that have diabetes information about a new diabetes Facebook page, or information about a pharmaceutical company that is looking for people to participate in a new diabetes drug trial. No personally identifiable information will be shared with these third-party organisations – the communications would come directly from MedibandPlus. All communications will be stored securely on myMedibandPlus online account record where this will only be accessible through my secure login facility. We may from time to time also send emails to your nominated email account.
As you browse MedibandPLus, advertising cookies will be placed on your computer so that we can understand what you are interested in. Our display advertising partner, AdRoll, then enables us to present you with retargeting advertising on other sites based on your previous interaction with MedibandPlus. The techniques our partners employ do not collect personal information such as your name, email address, postal address or telephone number. The following sets out our information gathering practices for accessing and browsing the MedibandPlus website including use of Forums, the use of the MedibandPlus ID Card and/or wristband or any other identification device used by the customer and the myMedibandPlus Online Membership and explains how information is collected, protected and utilised.
Disclosure and Use of Personal Information
We use the data that we collect from you for purposes which may include: providing our users with a personalised service; processing registrations and enquiries; providing you with information about enhancements and alterations to our products and services, (provided that you ask to receive such information).
We may also disclose your information to successors in title to our business or in accordance with a properly executed court order or otherwise required to do so by law.
We also use information in aggregate form (so that no individual user is identified): to build up marketing profiles; to aid strategic development; to provide data to medical charities, (for example as to the number of individuals in a geographic region that might be suffering from diabetes); to audit usage of the site.
All personal, identifiable information is retained by MedibandPlus indefinitely unless you specifically request that the information be deleted.

When you provide MedibandPlus with personal information, that information may be sent electronically to servers outside of the country where you originally entered the information. In addition, that information may be used, stored and processed outside of the country where you entered the information. Whenever MedibandPlus handles personal information, regardless of where this occurs, MedibandPlus takes every precaution to ensure that your information is treated securely. This is often implemented by encrypting the information and by storing the information in a secure environment.
Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100 per cent secure. While we strive to protect your personal information, MedibandPlus cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us, and you do so at your own risk.
Users must opt-in to receive communications from us. When you complete a registration for the MedibandPlus ID product or the myMedibandPlus Online Membership you will be given the choice of receiving information from MedibandPlus about present or future MedibandPlus products and services as well as details of changes to and enhancements of our products and services. You may opt-in to receive such information by e-mail, telephone or post by checking the relevant preference boxes as appropriate in the course of the registration process. You may also subsequently opt-out of receiving such information by changing your preferences in the your membership profile.
Data editing: Correct/Update/Remove Data
Subscribers to the myMedibandPlus Online Membership may remove all of the information stored about them via the website. MedibandPlus ID product users that wish to have information held by MedibandPlus about them deleted, may do so by contacting MedibandPlus and quoting the unique MedibandPlus ID number allocated to them on myMedibandPlus Online Membership registration. If you wish to remove your information, the process will take three business days. You will be notified via e-mail upon completion of the removal process.
Children Under the Age of 18
We do not intentionally collect any information on children under 16 years of age. We will undertake to delete any details of such users where a parent or guardian has notified us that any such details have been obtained. If a child's parent or guardian registers the child then they provide their consent.

When you visit MedibandPlus and interact with the site, MedibandPlus may collect information on your actions. This type of information is generally collected from two sources. One is from the server log files, which tracks your IP address, and the other is from cookies.
Your IP address is a number that is assigned by your ISP (Internet Service Provider) to your computer to identify its location. We use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server and to administer our website. We also sometimes use IP addresses to communicate with members and subscribers and possibly even ban those members who are not complying with our Terms of Service.

MedibandPlus gives users the option of changing and modifying information previously provided. Registered users may login and access the User Control Panel (click on the my MedibandPlus link in middle left header). The my MedibandPlus User Control Panel allows users to add or remove profile information, set preferences, etc. In addition, users may contact us directly for such requests.
This site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. This site maintains a dedicated server with restricted access only to authorized user accounts.
