What is an online medical ID?
An online medical ID — also called an online medical record — is a secure profile holding the health details a first responder needs — your conditions, medications, allergies and emergency contacts. Instead of engraving a few words on a wristband, Mediband Plus keeps your medical records online in Australia and your band, card or QR code carries the membership number that opens it.
Who can see my information?
Anyone with your membership code can view the emergency details you've chosen to share. Only you can change your profile, using a private password.
How do first responders access it?
They enter your membership number or scan the QR code on your Mediband — no app and no login needed. Your profile opens in seconds.
Is my information private and secure?
You set a privacy level for every field — Public, Hospitals only, or Private — and your information is encrypted on an Australian-based service.
What if I lose my Mediband or card?
Generate a new membership number from your member area and reorder a replacement anytime — your profile stays intact.
Do I need a Mediband product to use it?
No — your profile works with just your membership number or QR code, which you can save to your phone or print. A Mediband wristband or card is optional, for a durable version you can wear.
Does it work when I'm travelling?
Yes. Your profile is online, so any responder with your membership number or QR code can open it — at home, interstate or overseas.
